There are so many things I want/need to get done in the next couple of days and the things I need to get done (clean my house, jog, write a query letter, walk dogs, wash car, mop floors, laundry) are no fun at all and will undoubtedly leave me no time to do what I really want (sleep, design, paint something, thrift something, sew something and sleep, sleep, sleep).
This is the part where you tell me to stop whining and get over myself already.
One thing I really want to do is share some really great things I saw on the web/blogland this week that made me really happy. Here goes!
Have you checked out House of Fifty yet? Well, you totally should. It's a beautifully designed online design/lifestyle mag by Janell over at Isabella & Max Rooms blog. Get on over there and you'll find gorgeous content like this:
I really love Marilyn Monroe, so glamorous and iconic. A new book of unpublished photos by David Wills, "Marilyn Monroe: Metamorphosis" is definitely on my holiday wish-list. What stood out to me, besides the stunning beauty of Marilyn Monroe, were the rooms in the background. The interiors in these photos could have been designed today. It's a true testament to classic design - always in style!

From Blue Eyed Yonder, this is just dreamy and lovely:

"The Girl Who Ate Everything" has the right idea:

Someday, Carrie & Big's closet will be mine. Someday.

So random right? Sorry. At least there were pretty pics.
So now I'm off to present some chair fabrics to a client (hope she loves them as much as I do!). We're recovering a couple of really charming wing backs. Then I think I'll try to squeeze in a stop or two at some of my favorite vintage shops. Finally it's home to suck it up and do the "boring" stuff that I know crossing off my list will help me feel like myself again.
Have a fabulous weekend!
