Happy Monday everyone! This weekend was super busy but I still managed to refinish my dining table. I'm so pleased with how it came out and I can't wait to show it to you! It's really renewed my enthusiasm for DIY projects and reconfirmed my belief that there are lots of beautiful swans hiding amongst all the ugly ducklings at your local thrift store.
It's not quite ready to be dressed up and photographed so here's a little preview:
A couple of weekends ago I finally finished the upholstered headboard that I had been promising my guest bedroom for months. I have to admit, this project almost completely decimated my love of DIY projects forever. It seemed like such a no-brainer going in (glue on foam, staple on batting, stretch fabric and staple, staple, staple until your hand is numb) but this headboard had me on the verge of throwing my staple gun through a wall. I guess that's why I haven't blogged about it until now. This headboard project was one that, by the end of the ordeal, had me feeling more relieved than happy to have finished.
The headboard from hell is awaiting new bedding which involves me committing to a color scheme. Once that all gets sorted out I promise glorious photos and a "What NOT to do" themed tutorial. Until then, here's a little tease:
